Little Free Libraries
One of the most successful ways to improve a child's reading achievement is to increase their access to books, especially at
home. This is why we implemented the Little Free Library program in 2018. Since that time we have worked with partners throughout our community to place over 150 Little Free Libraries - and we are still growing!
The Queen City Book Bank receives thousands of gently used books each
year and Little Free Libraries are the perfect conduit to get books into
the hands of children and families who need them most.

"Up to 61% of low-income families do not have any books for their children at home."
-U.S. Department of Education
"In low income neighborhoods, on average there is only 1 book for every 300 children."
-Handbook of Early Literacy
